Trump Davos peace plan is set to take center stage as US President Donald Trump arrives at the World Economic Forum with sweeping diplomatic ambitions. Sources say Trump will announce a new “Board of Peace” aimed at overseeing Gaza’s reconstruction and mediating global conflicts.
According to two sources, Trump is also scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the Davos gathering. The meeting is expected to focus on Ukraine’s war outlook and broader security cooperation amid shifting global alliances.
The proposed Board of Peace would serve as a central body coordinating post-war reconstruction in Gaza while engaging in conflict resolution efforts worldwide. Trump has pitched the initiative as part of a broader effort to reposition US leadership in global diplomacy through direct negotiation and economic leverage.
Alongside the peace initiative, Trump confirmed progress on a controversial Greenland deal. Speaking on Wednesday, he said a framework agreement had been reached, signaling a breakthrough in talks over America’s long-term strategic interests on the island. Trump ruled out the use of military force to gain control of Greenland and said the US would not impose new tariffs on European countries opposing the plan.
Sources familiar with the discussions said the framework includes renegotiating the 1951 agreement that established the US military presence in Greenland. That pact has long governed Washington’s strategic footprint on the Arctic island, which remains an autonomous territory under Denmark.
A NATO official told CNN that alliance members have discussed the possibility of Denmark permitting the United States to build additional military bases. The official noted that such facilities would be located on land considered sovereign US territory under existing defense arrangements.
Trump’s Davos agenda underscores his preference for high-stakes diplomacy driven by economic and security incentives rather than military confrontation. Analysts say the combination of the Trump Davos peace plan, Ukraine talks, and Greenland negotiations reflects a renewed effort to reshape US influence across Europe, the Middle East, and the Arctic.
The announcements are expected to fuel debate among allies and rivals alike as Trump outlines his vision for conflict resolution and strategic expansion on the global stage.
