Rihanna Los Angeles home shooting has sparked alarm after gunfire struck the pop superstar’s mansion while she was reportedly inside the property on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say the incident happened shortly after 1 p.m. local time near the singer’s residence in Beverly Hills, where Rihanna lives with partner A$AP Rocky and their children.
Police told Los Angeles Times that a woman suspected to be in her 30s fired around 10 shots from a vehicle parked across the street from the mansion. At least one bullet struck the exterior wall of the house.
Local broadcaster KTLA reported that Rihanna was inside the residence when the gunfire occurred. No injuries were reported.
Officers responded quickly to the scene and began searching for the suspect, who had fled immediately after the shots were fired. Authorities later located and arrested the woman without incident a short time later.
Police also recovered a firearm during the arrest, according to local media reports.
Investigators are still working to determine why the suspect targeted the property. Officials have not yet said whether the attack was specifically aimed at the singer or if it was connected to another dispute.
The Rihanna Los Angeles home shooting has drawn intense attention due to the singer’s global fame and the normally quiet reputation of the upscale neighborhood.
Rihanna, one of the world’s most influential music stars and entrepreneurs, has not publicly commented on the incident as of Monday.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, with detectives examining evidence from the scene and interviewing witnesses in the area.
Residents in the neighborhood expressed concern about the rare burst of gun violence in the celebrity enclave as police continue to piece together what led to the shooting.
